The 2018 Geography of Hope Conference will take place March 17 & 18, 2018 in Point Reyes Station.
The 2018 gathering strives to cultivate emotional and spiritual resilience during these fraught days of political upheaval, social turmoil, and environmental assaults. With nature as a touchstone, the conference will stimulate a search for new ways to find hope, healing, and strength. On Saturday, March 17th, presenters will explore the conference theme in a series of facilitated panel discussions. Attendees will participate through the exchange of ideas with adequate time for writing and reflection. Sunday, March 18th, attendees are invited to take part in a land-based local restoration and environmental service project to experience nature as a healer and to create visible positive change in the landscape.
As one of northern California’s most exceptional gatherings, the Geography of Hope Conference brings together leading leaders, writers and activists to the coastal village for a feast of readings, discussions, and activities to inspire and deepen an understanding of the relationships between people and place.
